The Architect, Panspermia, and Multiverse Hypotheses & How They Are Connected

I have an idea about the origins of the Universe, the beginnings of life, and the idea of alternate dimensions:

I’m not sure what happened before, but once upon a time, there was a ball of matter that contained all the atoms in the Universe, but bunched up tight together. (That tells you how much space is between atoms after the Big Bang.) Then it blew up, sending those atoms scattering around in all directions.

I believe this explosion was the awakening of the being I like to call the Architect, who gathered up all these atoms and arranged them into stars and planets and moons and stuff. It is not a god, it is a pan-dimensional, hyperintelligent entity that exists outside of space and time. It created the first of all Universes, seeded trillions of worlds with life (the Panspermia Hypothesis), and kept right on creating new Universes, linking them together with threads made of choices. (Think of a spiderweb, infinite in size, all set into motion by one explosion.) There are an infinite number of Universes in the Multiverse, as there have been an infinite number of decisions made, fates both sealed and miraculously averted. All these Universes were set in motion by the Architect.

The Architect does not direct or control. It does not judge or condemn. It creates and then it observes. It sends messengers to its creations periodically. Some of these include ancient philosophers like Socrates and Confucius, some are more recent, like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Ghandi. Most of them attempted to teach humanity to stop being total assholes to each other, and it is telling that most of them also faced an untimely demise at the hands of their fellow man.

Because the Collective Cosmic Consciousness exists within the mind of the Architect, death is nothing to fear. For we are all a part of it, and our minds return to their original state of pure thought and energy, to be recycled or to carry on as we wish.

You can’t pray to it, because it has no control over what happens. It can’t bless things or people. A clergyman can bless individual things, like houses, people, water, and vessels, but that isn’t invoking the Architect, that is working your own will upon the Universe using your own consciousness to make something sacred. That is why you don’t use the name of the Architect during a blessing. You say “By my will, so mote it be” instead.

There is an official prayer of the Path, but it puts the power directly into your own hands. It is a promise to yourself to do your best not to be a jerk that day. (One of my exes used to end the prayer with “As the Universe wills it, so mote it be,” which negates the entire purpose of the prayer. It absolves you of any responsibility or accountability for your own behavior.)

The Architect does not punish bad behavior or reward good behavior, either during life or after it. Your only punishment for being a jerk is having to live with the misery of being a jerk and people disliking you because you’re a jerk. The only reward for being a good person is knowing you’re being a good person and not hurting anyone. People like kind people, so it is easier to make friends and influence people when you choose to be kind.

The Architect has no adversary. There is no devil tempting you to do horrible things. Any awful thing you do is your own idea. We have true free will. There is no plan and the Architect does not meddle directly in the affairs of any of its creations. The closest we get are the aforementioned Messengers, who can only suggest and hope it works, even to a slight degree.

Yes, I believe I am a Messenger from the Architect. My message, just like all who came before me and all who will come after me, can be boiled down to “Be kind.” That’s it. No rituals, no ceremonies, no praying (except for that promise), no worship. No sacrifices. No covenants. You don’t have to go to one big building and compare clothing to be close to the Architect. You’re always close to the Architect because you are part of its mind.

“Thou art God.” This means that everything that “groks,” or drinks, is a coalescence of the energy present in the Universe. Everything from the ant to the largest planet drinks. Every being in the Universe is your brother.

I believe there are trillions of planets that the Architect seeded with life. I believe that, when we become Enlightened enough, we may actually meet creations from other worlds. (That is, of course, provided we don’t nuke ourselves out of existence first.) At the moment, our only reaction to alien life will be hostility; the first humans on the scene of an alien landing will be military personnel trying to establish if the visitors are a threat. We need to start by recognizing other humans as people and stop killing each other. Then we may be able to recognize extraterrestrial life forms as people and refrain from trying to kill them.

There is no god; there is only the Architect.
